

Lion Dave Shimberg served as 31-C District Governor in 2001-2002. PDG Dave is an active Charter Member (5/92) of the University City Lions Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. He has also held memberships in the Black Jack Lions Club outside St. Louis Missouri, 26-A2, (1984-1990), and the Wrentham Lions Club in Massachusetts, 33-K, (1978-1990) where he was inducted as a Lion.
Lion David been a Club Secretary, Bulletin Editor, LEHP Chairman, PR Chairman, Cabinet Secretary/Treasurer, Vice-District Governor (2000-2001), District Governor (2001-2002), and Region and Zone Chariman. Lion David has also served as the Clinical Eye Research and Environment Chairman. He has been on the Board of Directors of Lions Services, a sheltered workshop and training facility for blind workers since 1997. In 2001 he joined the Board of the Lions Foundation of the Piedmont, a foundation raising funds helping support disabled students at the University of North Carolina a Chrlotte (UNCC). In 2002 he be came a board member with the Carolinas Computer Access Center, a non-profit organization providing information and demonstrations of adaptive technology to enable disabled individuals to better direct and control their lives. He is also 31-C Web Master at www.nclions-31c.org, and webmaster of the Lions Services Website.
Lion David is a Melvin Jones Fellow and is a NC Jack Stickley Fellow .
